Allegiant launched nonstop service between Mesa and Cincinnati

Allegiant Airlines announced its plan to launch nonstop flight service between Mesa and Cincinnati. The new service will commence from November 12, 2014.

The vacation-centered airline Allegiant Air will offer twice weekly flights between Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, making Cincinnati the easternmost destination for Mesa airport travelers.

The airline has also announced the launch of Fort Lauderdale service from Cincinnati. It will start operating flights on this route from October 9 this year. This will be a four times weekly service operating on every Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Apart from this the airline will soon add weekly flights to Punta Gorda, St. Pete and Orlando from CVG Airport.

The airline first started operating out of Cincinnati in February 2014 with nonstop flights to Orlando, Florida. Since then the carrier has added seasonal summer service to Myrtle Beach and two routes to Florida. With the announcement of new service, the airline will now offer 18 flights weekly from its existing seven at CVG Airport.

Jane Morris, Executive Director Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport said Cincinnati is an extremely important destination for the airline, as it offers flights to both eastern and western markets of the airline. We are happy that the airline has chosen to offer its easternmost flight from Mesa. We have a huge demand of passengers looking for flights to Ohio and this service is just what we have long been hoping for.

Allegiant was the first airline to offer services to Gateway travelers. It was later joined by airlines like Frontier and Spirit in 2012 however, both of them backed out after operating for just one year. To mark the launch of this new service inaugural one-way fares are up for grabs. Passengers can take benefit of the same and fly one-way as low as $81*.
