Allegiant launches new service on Islip-Punta Gorda route

Allegiant Air recently launched service between Islip and Punta Gorda. The new nonstop flights between the Long Island and Southwest Florida have created yet another avenue for travelers to access low fares deals this holiday season.

The airline commenced service with the introduction of Cheap Airfare deals. Passengers who wish to fly on the route can book their one-way tickets for as low as $58*. Allegiant Air and its management are happy with the decision to launch this new service at the right time. Being the peak holiday season in winters with Christmas and New Year just round the corner, the airline seems to have planned this move perfectly. Many travelers would be flying between the city pair to unite with friends and family for the upcoming festivities and celebrations, hence boosting its sales manifold.

The budget carrier will operate twice-weekly flights between Long Island MacArthur Airport and Punta Gorda Airport. This new flight was flagged off amid cheering, balloons, and a lot of excitement. The Las Vegas based airline had earlier announced that it intends to launch two new flights from the city of Punta Gorda in the beginning of the year 2014.

It now has plans to launch service from the Florida city to Columbus, Ohio and Portsmouth in February 2014. These launches clearly indicate about the airline’s plan to expand its network across the United States.
