Allegiant named best North American Airline third time in a row

Aviation Week & Space Technology Magazine announced Allegiant Airlines as North America’s top performing airline. The airline has received this honor for third year consecutively.

Allegiant Airlines, a well known ultra low cost airline of America, out-performed all the U.S. carriers and made way towards this title. As per the magazine the airline was a top performing airline in the small carrier category, and was at second spot with just 0.3 points behind in the overall airline category. Panama Airlines edged Allegiant and stood first among midsize carriers.

As per Aviation Week magazine, the airline won top spot on the basis of its extremely well executed business model that proved to be consistently profitable and being the best among all U.S. carriers in context to selling added travel services and ancillary charges. The airline also has the best-average score of last five years, globally. The magazine first awarded Allegiant in 2010 for being the best performing airline globally.

The magazine reached its conclusion on the basis of the financial results declared by all the carriers and by objectively evaluating them. Five categories under which evaluation was done includes fuel cost management, asset utilization liquidity, earnings performance and financial health.
