Allegiant to end service to Myrtle Beach in Sep, restart in April

Allegiant Air has announced that it will stop its seasonal service to Myrtle Beach from September 18, 2013. The airline will discontinue its flights from Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport for this year and will resume the service in April 2014.

The airline that offers cheap airfare to customers has already put an end to its flights between Myrtle Beach and Fort Wayne. It also plans to withdraw service to Allentown, Huntington and Youngstown beginning Sep 18. Many other carriers are also planning to reduce the frequency of flights to Myrtle Beach with the beginning of the fall season.

Another airline is also set to end flights departing from Myrtle Beach to Charleston, Dallas and Plattsburg. This carrier is responsible for flying a considerable number of passengers to Myrtle Beach each year.

Many airlines that operate seasonal service to the city discontinue flights as soon as the summer season ends and fall steps in.

Las Vegas based Allegiant has lately been expanding its network across the United States. It recently announced that it was adding ten new routes to its schedule. It will soon begin flights to cities including Charlottesville, Clarksburg, Concord, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Syracuse, and Manhattan.
