American Airlines adding flights on Dallas-Durango route May 7

American Airlines has announced it will be increasing its frequencies on Dallas-Durango route. The airline said that it will be adding a third flight between the two cities to be operated daily effective from May 7, 2015.

The airline in a statement said that the flight schedule is also being changed to best suit the passengers and allow them to make convenient use of flexible travel options. The new flight schedule has been designed to enable the passengers to commute for business during the morning and catch an evening flight to return home.

Kip Turner, Director of Aviation at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), said that the customers taking flights from Dallas/Fort Worth to Durango-La Plata County Airport (DRO) will now have the option to leave at 9 am, 1.45 pm or 5.15 pm. Similarly, those traveling from Durango to Dallas/Fort Worth can look forward to taking flights at 8.05 am, 11.20 am or 4.05 pm.

American Airlines has also indicated that it is planning to upgrade its aircrafts currently flying on Dallas/Fort Worth-Durango route so that the increasing passenger demand is fulfilled. The flights are presently running almost always full. The airline has however not revealed whether the additional flights to Dallas/Fort Worth from Durango would be permanent or not.

Meanwhile, Durango will see another leading low-cost carrier launching seasonal flights in April this year. Frontier Airlines has announced that it will start operating its seasonal service in spring. The airline will operate flights between Denver International Airport and Durango-La Plata Country Airport effective from April 14. The flights between the two cities will be conducted thrice weekly. Among other airlines operating flights out of Durango include United Airlines and US Airways.
