American Airlines adds Airbus A319 to its fleet

American Airlines, the big commercial carrier in the United States is in the process of renewing its fleet. As a part of its efforts, the airline recently welcomed the arrival of the first Airbus A319 aircraft. It has ordered 260 of these modern aircrafts in total.

The airline has ordered these narrow-body planes from the manufacturer based in Toulouse, France. American and Airbus together held a ceremony to rejoice the delivery of the first aircraft at Airbus’s manufacturing plant in Hamburg, Germany.

The carrier is extremely happy and delighted with the first arrival of A319 and its subsequent introduction into the fleet. These planes distinguish themselves by the ultra modern relaxation that they offer to the passengers onboard. They are equipped with 21st century technology and superior comforts. The new aircraft has swanky leather seats, Wi-Fi connectivity, and in-flight entertainment for all its travelers. Other amenities offered onboard include individual universal power points and USB jacks attached to each seat. Every seat on the aircraft contains a 12.1-inch HD touch screen monitor to keep the passengers engaged and entertained through their journey.

Virasb Vahidi, American's Chief Commercial Officer said the new A319 aircraft has been designed to accentuate the luxury of the customers onboard. He also expressed his pleasure to be collaborating with Airbus.

Passengers can book airline tickets on these new Airbus A319 aircrafts as soon as the airline announces its decision to start its operations.
