American Airlines becomes first domestic carrier to announce entrée reservations for business class flyers

American Airlines has become the first domestic carrier in the United States to announce entrée reservations program for its premium class customers.

The airline in a statement said that passengers booking business class flights or traveling in first class cabins would now be able to get opportunity to review menu options and pre-order their desired meal prior to the departure of the flights.

According to American Airlines, the entrée reservations program is available to customers booking business class tickets for travel between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport.

Apart from this, passengers traveling between Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and New York’s LaGuardia Airport would also be offered the option to pre-select their onboard meal prior to their travel.

The airline stated that the entrée reservations program would also be extended on all flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and San Francisco International Airport. Passengers traveling on Chicago O’Hare-Los Angeles, Chicago O’Hare-New York LaGuardia and Dallas-Fort Worth-Los Angeles routes would also be able to take the advantage of this program starting from November 15, 2012.
