American Airlines Incorporating Premium Seating Arrangement on 777-200 Aircraft

American Airlines is introducing a major change on its 777-200 aircraft. By replacing the larger economy class seats with limited premium economy seats, the airlines is adding comfort for its valuable passengers.

40 main cabin economy seats are replaced with 24 premium economy seats that are spacious and features more legroom when compared to its counterparts.

Henry Harteveldt of Atmosphere Research Group stated, ‘Premium economy does the wonderful job of offering a staircase of heaven to an airline.’

For people with limited budget, there are standard coaches whereas premium economy stands as an affordable option for passengers. Travelers who want to enjoy greater comfort can opt the business class seats.

Furthermore, the officials of American Airlines stated that the passengers are willing to pay for the few roomier seats. In addition, with the upgradation of facilities in the fleet, the passengers can replace the like-to-like jetliner during the time of flight cancellation. The standardization of seats in 777-200 aircraft is expected to get completed by end of this year.
