American Airlines launch ‘Go see the USA’ summer promotion

American Airlines has recently announced “Go see the USA” promotion targeting summer travelers. The airline will be offering cheap airfares to the customers for traveling to all 50 states in the country as part of the new promotion. With this offer, the airline is aiming to boost its summer traffic.

A spokesperson of American Airlines said that the customers will be offered a $100 discount on flight tickets that are booked till April 30, 2015. Apart from the discounted airfares, the airline will also be simultaneously offering discounts on hotels as well.

Media reports said that these are particularly good times for airlines to make profits in years. For decades, the airlines in the U.S. have battled bankruptcies and low profits thus facing turbulent times. However, with low fuel costs things are looking up and hopes for profitability have significantly increased. Even the passenger traffic data in recent years have indicated that many flights are filled to capacity or some of them even beyond it.
 
This has also prompted American Airlines to find out new ways earn profits, whose flights are less than full over the next few months. Considering the need for profitability, the airline has launched its new promotion for summer travel in the country. The airline is not only aiming to attract customers who want to go on summer vacation, but is even looking beyond that. After the summer vacations conclude, it will be followed by Thanksgiving and Christmas. If the airline succeeds in its new promotion then it expects to see the customers returning to it once again.
