American Airlines marks 25th anniversary of Dallas/Fort Worth-Tokyo service

American Airlines recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of its flights services between Dallas/Fort Worth and Tokyo. This was the airline’s first ever service to Asia.

To mark the launch of the flights between Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Tokyo Narita International Airport, the airline also launched a special one-day fare sale on May 21, 2012 and offered air tickets at cheap rates to its customers.

Through this special one-day fare sale, the customers were offered chance to win a luxury trip to Tokyo, including two round-trip Business Class tickets and a three-night stay at the Shangri-La Hotel Tokyo.

As of now, Delta Air Lines has entered into a joint business agreement with Japan Airlines and offering its customers the option of nearly 200 weekly flights to and from Asia.

Ever since the launch of joint business agreement, the two carriers have now introduced new route between Boston and Tokyo, as well as Los Angeles and Shanghai. Later this year, a new San Diego-Tokyo Narita service will also be launched.

Effective from June 1, 2012, American Airlines also reinstated nonstop flights between New York JFK and Tokyo Haneda using its three-class Boeing 777 aircraft, while ending its New York JFK and Tokyo Narita flight.
