American Airlines offering flights from Lambert to only 6 cities

American Airlines has drastically scaled down the flights services to/from Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.
 
The customers now have the option to book air tickets to six cities only being currently served by American Airlines to/from Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.

The airline is now offering direct flights from Lambert to Miami, New York (LaGuardia), Washington D.C. (Reagan National), Los Angeles, Dallas and Chicago O’Hare.
 
Earlier, American Airlines had slashed nonstop flights from Lambert to 20 cities in April 2010. The cities where the airline stopped serving include Wichita, Washington D.C. (Dulles), San Antonio, San Francisco, Richmond, Raleigh-Durham, Orlando, Oklahoma City, Norfolk, New Orleans, Newark, Nashville, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Madison, Jacksonville, Indianapolis, Des Moines, Austin and Atlanta.

Travel experts said that by pulling flights out of the St. Louis market as has been done by American Airlines over the past couple of years it becomes more of a challenge for the business to prosper and poses difficult situation for the flyers.
