American Airlines sign codeshare agreement with Air Tahiti Nui

American Airlines recently announced it has entered into a codeshare deal with Air Tahiti Nui.

The agreement between Dallas-Fort Worth-based American Airlines and the international carrier of Tahiti was recently made public. However, the U.S. Department of Transportation is yet to give its approval to the agreement.

Under this codeshare pact, Air Tahiti Nui will be able to put its flight code on American Airlines flights departing from Los Angeles to above 15 U.S. cities. These destinations include New York, Washington D.C., San Francisco, Miami, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Las Vegas and Boston.

Similarly, the agreement will also allow American Airlines to put its flight code on Air Tahiti Nui flights between Papeete Faa’a International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport.

Air Tahiti Nui is the leading airline to French Polynesia. Its route network links the South Pacific to four continents. With its headquarters in Papeete, Air Tahiti Nui operates out of Faa’a International Airport on the Tahiti island.
