American Airlines to deploy A 321T on Los Angeles-New York route

American Airlines, the giant commercial airline of the United States said that it is set to launch a new plane on its Los Angeles-New York route. The airline announced that the new Airbus A-321T would replace the existing Boeing 767-200 next month. The A 321T is set to take off on its maiden journey on January 7, 2014 and by the end of June the airline will have 13 daily flights to New York on these aircrafts.

The airline, which offers plane tickets to hundreds of passengers each day and flies to over 250 destinations worldwide, is looking forward to starting its new year on the replacement note. It recently overcame all regulatory hiccups and completed its merger formalities with another commercial airline US Airways. It has plans to expand its footprints across the United States and other parts of the world. As a part of its larger business strategy, it intends to replace the fleet of Boeing 767-200s with the newer Airbus A-321T planes. The Boeing aircrafts have served the airline for the last 26 years.

The new planes are equipped with a seating capacity for first class, business class, and economy class passengers. First and business class cabins feature fully flat bed seats. First class passengers will get an individual aisle access. All seats on this plane consist of personal touch screen monitors for entrainment and there are over 120 channels available.
