American Airlines to expand service on Miami-Roatan route

American Airlines announced its decision to expand its service to Roatan in Honduras. The airline said it would increase the service from Miami to Roatan to thrice a week. Flights between the city pair will operate every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

Passengers will also be able to book plane tickets with the airline as it intends to commence service from Dallas/Fort Worth to Roatan. The airline will use the services of Boeing 737-800 aircrafts on this route. The nonstop flights between the city pair will operate every Saturday.

The airline has been serving Honduras for more than twenty years. The management said it is proud of the airline’s presence in the country. It intends to offer its customers more opportunities to fly with it and travel to their destination in the country.

At present, the airline runs twice-daily service between Miami and San Pedro Sula in Honduras. It also has a daily service operating between Miami and Tegucigalpa. Overall, the airline flies to 80 domestic and 81 international destinations. It offers flights in 49 countries located across the Americas, Caribbean, Asia, Europe, and Australia. It operates out of its hubs in Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, Miami International Airport, and O'Hare International Airport. The airline is a member of Oneworld alliance.
