American Airlines to launch new flights to Brazil and Colombia

American Airlines has decided to expand its partnership with the LATAM Airlines Group and would offer more flights services to new destinations in Latin America.

American Airlines recently signed codeshare agreements with both the carriers of LATAM Airlines Group – Sao Paulo-based TAM Airlines and Bogota-based LAN Colombia.

The new codeshare pacts would enable American Airlines to launch flights services to new markets in Brazil and Colombia.

The airline in a statement said that American Airlines is planning to introduce a new route offering flights between Dallas/Fort Worth and Bogota. The new route is expected to be launched in late 2013.
 
Apart from this, the airline also stated that it will be launching new flights services from Miami to Curitiba and Proto Alegre in Brazil. By introducing flights to Curitiba and Porto Alegre, American Airlines would be serving a total of nine destinations in Brazil.

American Airlines disclosed that the partnerships will allow the customers of TAM Airlines and LAN Colombia to get seamless access the new destinations in the United States, such as Seattle, Las Vegas, Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago and Boston.
