American Airlines to provide 22 first class seats on Washington-LAX flights

American Airlines recently announced that it will launch new flights between Washington DC’s inner-city Reagan National Airport and Los Angeles International Airport from June 14, 2012. American Airlines flights tickets are already up for sales for travel between these two cities.

The airline said that it will deploy a Boeing 757 aircraft configured with 22 first class seats. The seats in the first class will be similar to those in Australian domestic business, which will accommodate trans-Pacific business class passengers.

American Airlines, oneworld partner of leading Aussie carrier Qantas, will provide a decent westbound connection to Qantas' trans-Pacific flights.

With its convenient flight timings and Qantas connections, American Airlines flights between Washington DC and Los Angeles is expected to prove to be beneficial to Australian business travelers.

American Airlines flight 245 departs from Washington DC at 1710 and arrives at Los Angeles at 2330, thus providing sufficient connecting time to Sydney-bound Qantas flight QF12 at 2220 (with a backup of QF108 at 2340 in case of delays) or Qantas' Melbourne flight QF94 at 2330.
