American new B767 business seats to Manchester from March 29

American Airlines has retrofitted its Boeing 767-300ER aircraft and will be launching new business class seats on its flights between Manchester Airport (MAN) and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) during this summer schedule.

The airline said that its newly-retrofitted Boeing 767-300ER aircraft will be prominently featuring fully-flat business class seats and will be offered to its customers starting from March 29, 2015.

Media reports said that the business class cabins will have a capacity of a total of 28 seats arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration with direct aisle access.

David Thomas, American Airlines’ Director of Sales for UK and Ireland, said, “The fully lie-flat seats being offered to the valued business class customers with all-aisle access will be similar to those in the airline’s flagship Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts. With the new seats, it is hoped that the customers will be offered a more consistent transatlantic experience.”

Thomas further said that Manchester remains quite important to American Airlines and to the joint business venture with British Airways. He believes that Manchester is obviously the appropriate choice for American Airlines’ UK launch market for the upgraded Boeing aircrafts, which have also been equipped with on-demand entertainment system and satellite in-flight connectivity.

Providing details about the new flight schedule on Manchester-New York JFK route, American Airlines said that the outbound service AA210 will depart from New York JFK at 1920 hrs and reach Manchester at 0735 hrs next day. The return flight will depart from Manchester at 1015 hrs and arrive in New York JFK at 1255 hrs.
