American to offer fully lie-flat business class seats in A321T

American Airlines has recently introduced new Airbus A321 Transcontinental aircraft to its fleet. The new addition is being considered to be a more fuel-efficient aircraft. The delivery of the first Airbus A321T was made to the airline in November 2013. The new aircraft has been deployed on New York JFK-Los Angeles route, and would later be utilized to operate flights on New York JFK-San Francisco route as well.

American Airlines in a statement said that the new Airbus A321T aircraft has already started flying between Los Angeles International Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport from January 2014. The airline will also be using the same aircraft to operate flights between San Francisco International Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport in March 2014.

The customers booking business class flights would be offered 20 fully lie-flat seats. According to the airline, the business class cabin will have a 2-2 conformation. All the seats will be outfitted with one USB jack and universal AC power outlet. The customers in business class will also be able to choose the same entrée and starter choices provided to those traveling in the First Class. The business class customers would also be offered a choice of up to 180 TV programs, above 350 audios, up to 200 movies and up to 20 games for in-flight entertainment on a 15.4 inch HD-able flexible touchscreen monitor.
