Faena Hotel
The Faena Hotel opened in December 2015. The 169-room hotel vividly portrays the dramatic vision of Argentinian designer Alan Faena. Some of the fascinating creations at the hotel aptly showcase Alan Faena’s innate desire for bringing art and culture and integrating it into the community. Among the prominent features here include two Damien Hirst statues and the Cathedral. One of the statues includes “Gone but not Forgotten”, which is a 3-meter tall skeleton of a glided mammoth preserved on the beach in a temperature-regulated glass cage. The Cathedral at the main entrance has six beautifully carved thick columns wrapped in golf leaf and colour-blasted, intricate, intriguing murals by Juan Gatti. Among other amenities here include a spa, a 150-seater theatre and a private dining room with 3,000 bottles of wine.
Metropolitan by COMO
The Metropolitan by COMO was inaugurated in an Art Deco building of historical importance on Miami Beach in 2014. The hotel is located at South Beach's northern end. Italian designer Paola Navone has designed modern, pared-back interiors.
