BA and SIA emerge winners at Business Travellers Awards 2013

British Airways and Singapore Airlines emerged winners in the recently concluded Business Traveller Awards 2013 ceremony. The gala event opened to a glittering inauguration at Kensington's Royal Garden Hotel in London. The readers of the magazine based in the United Kingdom polled for their favorite airlines and helped them beat rivals to claim the top spots.

The event, which was sponsored by Panasonic and Get Abstract, was attended by the industry captains. These awards are highly recognized and appreciated across the globe for their transparency. These awards actually appreciate the efforts of the airlines and others associated with the hospitality industry.

Singapore Airlines, which offers airline tickets to travelers across the globe, collected trophies for Best Long-Haul Airline, Best Economy Class, Best Cabin Staff, and Best Asian Airline. The airline is hugely popular for offering a unique traveling experience and constantly refurbishing its interiors to suit the contemporary demands. Interestingly, Singapore Changi Airport created yet another milestone by winning the Best Airport in the World award for 26th consecutive time. 

On the other hand, British Airways, the premier airline of the United Kingdom swept away the awards across five categories. It won the honors for Best Airline, Best Short-Haul Carrier, Best First Class, Best Frequent Flyer Programme for its Executive Club, and Best Airport Lounge at London Heathrow's Terminal 5.
