BA extends partnership to offer quality meals in business class

British Airways has always considered its transatlantic market to be quite profitable and major source of revenue. The airline has particularly been focusing on its shuttle service being currently operated between London and New York JFK. Media reports said that British Airways is extending its partnership with in-flight catering company DO & CO as part of its business class revamp program. Apart from serving delectable menus on London Heathrow-New York JFK route, the airline has decided to offer delicious meals by DO & CO on other routes as well, such as London City-New York JFK, and London Heathrow-Chicago O’Hare.

A spokesperson of British Airways said that it is a matter of great delight that the catering of revamped Club World (business class) will continue to be looked after by the DO & CO company. The airline has been working with the company for several years and is extremely satisfied with the quality in-flight meals it has been providing for its premium customers traveling to the United States. The spokesperson further stated that gourmet kitchens are being currently operated by DO & CO company in New York JFK and Chicago O’Hare airports. The Club World customers should therefore be rest assured that fresh ingredients would be procured in creating the menus.

Media reports quoted a spokesperson of DO & CO company as saying that a premium restaurant style dining approach is being adopted in which fresh ingredients are being used to prepare meals everyday in-house by skilled chefs. The company doesn’t believe in working with readymade or brought in products. Moreover, the use of commodity food, preservatives or additives is also strictly avoided ensuring that whatever is prepared is completely fresh. The spokesperson reiterated that the approach of DO & CO company is completely different in comparison to others because the cooking techniques are primarily concentrated on boutique handmade quality methods.
