BA offers discounted business class fares on India-US routes

Indian travelers to U.S. destinations are quite happy these days. British Airways decided to please the travelers ahead of the holiday season by offering discounted airfares for travel in business class flights (Club World) as well as in economy class (Club World).

The airline recently lowered its base fares by up to 74 percent for travel from Indian cities to various destinations across the United States. This special offer was for a limited period only. The duration of travel on this offer is valid through March 15, 2015.

A spokesperson of British Airways said that with the discounted base fares now, the customers booking flights to San Francisco from Delhi were able to get all-inclusive roundtrip tickets, thus helping them save an astounding 74 percent on base fares. Similarly, those taking business class flights to Chicago from Chennai were provided up to 37 percent discount on all-inclusive roundtrip base fares.

The airline is presently serving more than 150 destinations spanning in 75 countries. In India, the airline is operating 49 flights services per week from London Heathrow Airport to Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, New Delhi and Mumbai.

Christopher Fordyce, British Airways Regional Commercial Manager for South Asia, said that the year 2014 has been quite significant for the airline as it is presently celebrating 90 years of its services to India.

Fordyce said that this biggest sale of the current year has therefore been exclusively offered to Indian customers planning to visit or spend their holidays in some of the best destinations in the United States.
