BA to launch A380 on London-Hong Kong route

British Airways (BA), the premier airline of Europe is set to launch its A380 business class service to Hong Kong. The inaugural flight between London and Hong Kong is set to depart on October 23, 2013. The airline has launched special offers to celebrate this launch.

Passengers can book business class flights to Hong Kong with the airline for travel experience on a double-decker plane to the city. This plane is the newest entrant in BA’s fleet family and by far the largest. Hong Kong is a popular financial destination and is frequented by business travelers from across the globe.

The plane has a seating capacity for 469 passengers. The business class segment can accommodate 97 passengers across the plane. There are 44 seats available on the main deck and 53 on the upper deck. The seating configuration is 2:3:2.

Customers flying on the plane will enjoy quieter take-offs and landings as the aircraft emits half the noise as compared to Boeing 747-400. The air conditions are fitted with advanced filters and provide fifteen different temperature control zones that help in noise reduction. The air in the cabin is changed at a three-minute interval.

Customers onboard this class will also benefit from spacious and enhanced interiors. The in-flight brown color scheme is soothing to the eyes. The entertainment system has been improved to provide more options through the journey. The size of the TV screen has marginally increased. On the upper deck, window seats have added storage bins.

Passengers can relish the best of foods from BA’s kitchen presented in a different manner. The drinks that were formally offered on a trolley will now be hand served. In all, the airline has tried to offer a comfortable journey to its passengers on this long distance flight.
