Bangkok Airways launches premier class on A319s

Thailand’s leading budget carrier Bangkok Airways recently announced the launch of its premier class on its Airbus A319 aircrafts.

The airline in a statement said that it had to install new premier class in some of its aircrafts, which were until now configured with only economy class seats. The airline’s move is aimed at cashing in on demand from premium passengers.

The airline said that new ‘premier class’ has been essentially created as sub business class to cater to the demand of premium customers who traveled on aircrafts not originally configured with business class seats.

Bangkok Airways said that the new premier class will function as business class on the aircrafts that currently don’t have business class seats configured on them. The airline disclosed that the customers traveling in premier class would be entitled to all the facilities offered to business class (Blue Ribbon Club) flyers.

The airline introduced the premier class on its Bangkok-Phom Penh route. The airline has also indicated that it would be rolling out its service on the Bangkok-Koh Samui-Kuala Lumpur route this month end.
