“Bleisure” now in-thing for leisure-cum-business class travelers

Aer Lingus has revealed that a new trend is being currently witnessed by the commercial aviation industry, particularly when it comes to international business class travel as well as leisure. The airline has come with up a new terminology, what it calls “Bleisure”, for all those who are passionate about combining their leisure time with business class travel on the same trip. According to the airline, this trend is fast catching up with solo travelers, couples, and some families as well. Aer Lingus currently operates daily nonstop flights to Chicago from Dublin.

Jeff Wright, Aer Lingus’ Director of Corporate Sales in North America, said, “It is being constantly being observed that many people now want to add more fun to their business trips because of the hectic and quite demanding schedules of present times. The fun is particularly extended for parents and kids when higher-priced business class tickets are purchased for the leisure ride and ultimate vacation experience.”

The term “Bleisure” was even explained by some customers after being prompted by Aer Lingus. The customer explained that this form of travel allows her husband to be seated separately from the kids so that he can use the opportunity to be productive and fully prepared for business meetings after landing, while the children get enough space for moving around and playing games, and also enjoy a wide range of delicious meals, which keeps them completely engaged throughout the flights. In this way, this adds fun to the trip while traveling in business class cabins.
