BMI Regional increases flight frequency from Edinburg and Glasgow

BMI Regional, the Aberdeen based, British regional airline that specializes in operating business jets on niche routes recently announced that from this summer it will increase its flight frequency on Edinburg and Glasgow routes.

The airline will add new flight service on Edinburgh-Copenhagen route that will start operating from 3rd June 2011 until 28th August 2011 on Friday and Sunday. The carrier will also operate a new flight that will operate between Glasgow and Copenhagen during the same period. Thus Glasgow-Copenhagen route will receive daily-flight service during the summer period.

The airline will introduce full-service carrier between Edinburg and Zurich on Mondays and Fridays during the summer season.

The decision to introduce more flights came after the withdrawal of flight service between Heathrow and Glasgow.

“As the home of BMI Regional, we are strongly committed to Scotland. Adding extra rotations to these popular routes from Edinburgh and Glasgow will help meet the increasing demand from corporate and leisure customers this summer,” said, Steven Griffiths, business director, BMI Regional.
