Bmi to operate A330 aircraft on Freetown, Almaty and Bishkek routes

Leading British carrier Bmi has announced that it will be operating A330 aircraft on Freetown, Almaty and Bishkek routes from late June. The airline said that it will be replacing the B757 and A321 aircraft, which are currently serving on these routes.

The Bmi in an official statement said that the A330 will begin its service on the Heathrow-Almaty route (which then continues on to Bishkek) from June 25. Besides, the A330 will be pressed into service on the Heathrow-Freetown route from June 26.

The airline further said that the changes are significantly going to benefit the customers on the Freetown route. “Now, the A330 aircraft will not be required to stop for refueling en route, as previously was the case with the A321 aircraft,” a top Bmi official said.

Bmi is also offering promotional fares of 479 pound in economy and 1,479 pound in business class to Almaty, and 499 pound in economy and 1,499 in business class to Bishkek in order to celebrate the introduction of the A330 on the routes.

The A330 is a wide-bodied aircraft featuring 196 seats in economy with a 32-inch seat pitch and six degrees of recline, and 36 seats in business class with a 60-inch seat pitch and 50 degrees of recline. Both the economy and business class cabins will also feature a 15-inch personal TV screen.
