British Airways’ A380 and B787-800 to debut on several routes

British Airways, the premier airline of the United Kingdom announced its plans for its state-of-the-art Airbus A380 and Boeing 787-800 Dreamliner planes. The commercial airline announced new routes on which, these aircrafts would be deployed in the coming year.

As a part of its strategy for the year 2014, the airline has jotted down the names of cities on which these planes will replace the currently operating aircrafts. Its new strategy is sure to benefit travelers booking business class flights with the airline.

Beginning September 1, 2014 A380 is set to fly between Washington Dulles International Airport and London Heathrow. The double-decker super jumbo plane has a seating capacity for 469 passengers of which, 14 are available in the first class and 97 in the business class. This plane has already debuted on Los Angeles-London and Hong Kong-London sectors. It is also set to commence service on London-Johannesburg route in February 2014. A380 offers a great experience for premier passengers. Some of the amenities offered include spacious cabins and seats, on demand audio video, fine dining experience, flavorful beverages, generous baggage allowance, and prompt and friendly staff.

On the other hand, the airline is set to deploy Boeing 787-800 to fly nonstop on London Heathrow-Austin beginning March 3, 2014, London Heathrow-Philadelphia from June 5, 2014, and London Heathrow-Calgary from July 5, 2014. Dreamliner planes comprise 35 flat bed seats. These seats consist of 73-inch seat pitch and 20-inch seat width.
