British Airways, American Airlines to jointly operate BA Galleries Lounge at Philadelphia airport

British Airways recently announced that it has entered into a partnership with American Airlines to operate jointly the British Airways Galleries Lounge at the Philadelphia International Airport. The partnership between the two carriers is aimed at further strengthening their business relationship.

This will be the second lounge to be jointly operated by British Airways and American Airlines. In November 2010, the Denver Admirals Club became the first lounge that American Airlines and British Airways started operating jointly.

Located in Terminal A-West, just next to A-East security entrance on the second level, the British Airways Galleries Lounge will provide access to customers inside the security checkpoint, while it will at the same time provide convenience for American Airlines Admirals Club guest who will be departing from Philadelphia.

The British Airways Galleries Philadelphia lounge will be jointly managed by both British Airways and American Airlines premium service staff to serve customers. The lounge will be open daily between 5 am and 10 pm. American Airlines guests can avail complimentary light fare, snacks, wine, beer and self-serve soft drinks.
