British Airways curtails direct flights to Sydney

British Airways recently announced the curtailing of its daily direct flight services to Sydney. The airline said that it will now operate flights to Sydney only once a day from two daily flights earlier. The Sydney-bound flight will be via Singapore.

Besides, the airline also said that there will now be no flight operations on London to Sydney via Bangkok route. At the same time, British Airways also said that its passengers bound for Sydney will continue to travel to Bangkok through transfers to a Qantas aircraft for rest of their travel.

The airline has also decided to replace the Boeing 777 aircraft with Boeing 747 aircraft on the London to Sydney via Singapore route.

British Airways has also announced that it will be expanding its flights to Hong Kong to thrice weekly. By expanding its services, the airline will operate a total of 17 flights on a weekly basis on London Heathrow-Hong Kong route.
