British Airways increases flight service to Rio de Janeiro

British Airways, due to the increased air travel demand, plans to double its flight frequency over the London-Rio de Janeiro route.

The airline will now start serving the Brazilian capital with six-times a week instead of three-times from the end of this October. Thus according to the new schedule the airline will operate daily flights except on Mondays. The departing hours of the flights will remain unchanged. The flights will depart from London at 12.15pm and will arrive in Brazilian city at 09.55pm.

Neil Cottrell, British Airways, head of network planning, said, “By doubling the number of frequencies, we are able to offer our customers more choice and greater availability. Brazil is also experiencing strong economic growth and this capacity increase is a great opportunity for British Airways to be part of that growth.”
