British Airways Introduced Avios To Pay for Seat Selection

British Airways has included Avios for its valuable passengers, making payment for seat selection much easier. On every BA operated services, travelers are free to pay in full or partial for their seat selection in Avios. What’s Avios? Basically, these are travel reward points that allow passengers to pay each time they fly.

As per the terms and conditions of the newly introduced service, the airline stated, ‘The payment through Avios would usually rest on three main categories: the selected route, cabin class and the number of passengers mentioned on the booking. Each of the aspects would be listed clearly on the booking page.’

It is important to note that the silver and gold members of the executive club of BA are entitled to make seat selection for free whereas your Bronze membership can allow you to do so only after seven days before departure. All other passengers would be able to select their seats 24 hours before they depart free of cost.

On basis of the new payment James Hillier stated, ‘the offer of spending and collecting Avios was already available on a number of holidays, flights and trips; however, this recent introduction is another interesting way to spend Avios for the members of the BA Executive Club.’
