British Airways, one of the premier commercial carriers of the United Kingdom formally launched the Airbus A380 service to Los Angeles. Airbus A380 is a modern, double-decker, super jumbo jet that aims to offer customers a luxurious experience onboard. The carrier launched the service on London-Los Angeles route amid much pomp and show, and fanfare.

Los Angeles has become the first of over 150 destinations served by the airline to receive the A380 service. In fact, the London-Los Angeles route is being termed as the airline’s Red Carpet Route. The staff, management, and customers have all waited for it to debut the contemporary jet. Its maiden flight spread a wave of joy and excitement among all.

Passengers who book plane tickets with the airline between the two cities will now get to feel a completely new experience onboard the mighty aircraft. A380 is the latest offering from its manufacturer in France. This plane comprises seating capacity for 469 passengers across four sections. Of these 469 seats, 14 are for first class customers, 97 belong to Club World travelers, 55 are for World Traveler Plus, and 303 belong to the World Traveler segment.

Among other features, this aircraft consists of a complimentary bar, three course meals, amenity kits, and blankets for all customers.
