British Airways has launched its new restaurant style dining service for its business class (Club World) customers. The revamped service was unveiled on September 1 this year, and offers a plethora of choices comprising of starters, main courses and desserts to be served from the trolleys. The newly launched service is a part of British Airways’ huge investment to upgrade amenities and services in Club World. The premium customers traveling from London Heathrow to New York JFK would be initially offered this innovative dining service, which would gradually rolled out on business class flights to other international destinations as well on the airline’s global network.
Media reports said that the Club World customers would be able to choose one of the four starters provided to them from the display trolley. These starters include grilled vegetables, fresh seasonal salad and a choice of balsamic and olive oil dressing or French dressing; creamy butternut squash soup with sour cream and chive; tomato carpaccio and burrata with balsamic and olive oil dressing; and Loch Fyne smoked salmon tartare with wasabi crème fraîche.
According to the reports, the premium customers would be served main courses on plates as is being presently done. The main courses include delctable options such as homemade artichoke ravioli Pamesan; line-caught grilled Cornish Dover sole with lemon butter, celeriac mousseline and Mediterranean lentils; Best of Heritage beef homemade gnocchi in Café de Paris sauce and pan-fried green asparagus.
The display trolley will also have desserts to be served to the premium customers. The impressive choices of desserts include cheese board with Somerset brie, fig chutney, grapes, walnuts, Cropwell Bishop stilton and Keen’s cheddar; fresh strawberries; Viennese-style apple strudel with vanilla sauce; lemon tart; and DO & CO’s double chocolate medley.
The customers would also be offered an impressive wine selection prominently featuring champagnes and white wines displayed on top of the trolleys in big, silver wine coolers, along with regiments of red wine bottles standing alongside them. The champagne choices include Champagne de Castelnau Brut Rosé NV, Champagne de Castelnau Brut Réserve NV, and Champagne Henriot Brut Souverain NV.
