British Airways planning to open first class lounge at Changi International Airport in Singapore

Passengers booking first class flights on British Airways and traveling to Singapore can now look forward to avail the facilities being provided at first class lounge to be opened at Changi International Airport shortly.
 
Media reports recently said that British Airways is planning to open a new first class lounge at Singapore’s Changi International Airport in future. The airline is taking this decision after Qantas Airways resolved to close the first class lounge at the airport.
 
Until recently, the first class lounge was being shared by both Qantas Airways and British Airways.

Media reports quoting British Airways said that the customers booking first class tickets as well as Executive Club Gold card holders traveling on British Airways’ London-Singapore-Sydney flights would be able to enjoy the facilities to be offered at the first class lounge.

British Airways is likely to terminate its partnership with Qantas Airways. The airline is being forced to take this decision after the strengthening of alliance between Qantas Airways and Emirates Airline.

Qantas Airways will be shifting its hub for European flights to Dubai as part of its alliance with Emirates Airline. However, British Airways has indicated that it will continue operating its daily flights on London-Singapore-Sydney route from April 2013.
