British Airways revamps onboard wines and champagnes offerings

British Airways First Class passengers have a treat awaiting them. The airline recently announced that it will be refreshing its available range of wines and champagnes for its premium customers.

The airline said that whether its customers are taking flights to London or any other destinations around the world, they will be offered the finest wines and champagnes.

British Airways officials said that they hope to create ‘an inflight cellar any Michelin-star restaurant would be proud of’. The products being introduced by the airlines from this September includes Laurent-Perrier’s Grand Siecle, which usually retails at US$191.28. British Airways said that its First Class passengers will be offered the luxury Grand Siecle beverage for 2012. The airlines further said that its Club World guests will be offered new champagne in October this year.

The airline will also introduce Corton Bressandes Grand Cru 2008 and Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Le Champ Gain 2007 on flights to Asia later during this year.

British Airways said that it will be introducing select wines on certain routes to match inflight menus dishes as well as that goes down well with customers’ destination, demography and time of day.
