British Airways to commence trans-Atlantic flights to Austin

British Airways, the premier airline of Europe announced its decision to launch service to Austin. The airline said it has plans to commence new flights between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and London Heathrow Airport beginning March 2014. March 3 has been set as the tentative date for the launch. This service will become the carrier’s first trans-Atlantic flight to Austin.

The airline will deploy Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on this route. The flights between these two cities will operate five days a week. It plans to switch the service to daily towards the end of 2014. The 787 aircraft comprises seating capacity for three cabins including business class, premium economy, and economy.

Passengers flying on business class tickets on this route will be able to enjoy stylish cabins fitted with the state-of-the art entertainment systems. These passengers would get to taste the best of cuisines onboard the flight. The meals include snacks and beverages. The bar service is available through the long distance flight. These customers can also benefit from priority check-ins, lounge access, and generous luggage allowance at the airport. Other advantages that these passengers are eligible for include additional space to work or relax and flat beds.
