British Airways has decided to offer new bedding to its customers traveling in business class (Club World) cabins. UK’s national carrier has entered into partnership with The White Company for new beddings to be provided to premium customers traveling between New York JFK and London Heathrow. The changes are part of a major revamp plan announced by the airline earlier this year.
Media reports said that the new bedding would comprise of a padded mattress cover, a duvet, a blanket with satin trim, white pillowcase for sleeping and a new larger pillow. The airline has also indicated that it is planning to gradually roll out the new bedding on other long-haul routes as well.
Apart from the new bedding, British Airways will also introduce breakfast cards. This would enable the customers to make known their wish as to when to be woken up, and if so, intimate about their meals preferences. The airline will also be launching a new “restaurant-style premium dining service” in business class this autumn. The trolleys would be displayed offering customers opportunity to select their preferred dishes.
British Airways has even more offerings for its Club World customers. The unisex amenity kits are being offered in a White Company bag and comprises of products from “Restore & Relax Spa Collection”. The kits also contain a jersey eye-mask as well. Earlier, Qatar Airways partnered with The White Company for providing sleep suits to its business class customers.
Alex Cruz, Chairman and CEO of British Airways, said, “The company has started investing in Club World by making significant upgrades. The latest initiative is to make business class experience as comfortable as ever by helping them sleep even better with the new bedding. Our partnership with The White Company shows the airline’s commitment to offer top-notch services and products to Club World customers. This is only the first step, and more upgrades are in the offing in future.”
