British Airways to Stopover at Hong Kong Now

British Airways recently announced that it had added another stopover destination to its existing list. Going forwards Australia bound passengers will be able to take a break at Hong Kong.

This is good news for passengers flying between Australia and London as now they will be eligible for one more Asian stopover destination. In Asia alone the airline at present has for stopover destinations namely Chengdu, Shanghai, Tokyo, Bangkok and Singapore. Whether for leisure or business Australian passengers flying to or from London will be able to stop on the way at Hong Kong.

Nicole Backo, South West Pacific regional commercial manager for British Airways said this stopover destination will offer more tractability to flyers and they will not have to unnecessarily waste more or time in order to buy plane tickets for connecting flights.

At present British Airways is the only European based airline offering flights to and from Australia. Recently Virgin Atlantic has pulled back its flights to Sydney. Backo also said that BA has no plans to withdraw from Australia and is extremely happy with the positive response it is receiving.
