Broward and Palm Beach hotels revamp in time for winter season

With the winter travel season at its peak now, several hotels in Palm Beach and Broward counties are revamping. The public spaces and rooms are being decked up in time for this peak season.

The renovation projects which were launched this summer and now into their final stages. The revamp includes makeovers to lobbies, restaurants and rooms.

A travel industry study said that Orlando, Miami and Fort Lauderdale are among the top 10 most popular vacation destinations for Christmas and New Year’s Eve in 2014. The study also said that hotel rates for stays at these places have increased up to 3 percent in comparison to last year for the period from late December through early January.

In Broward County, the two major hotels which have undergone significant revamp include the Courtyard Marriott Fort Lauderdale Beach and The Riverside Hotel, Fort Lauderdale.

The Courtyard Marriott Fort Lauderdale Beach is situated at 440 Seabreeze Blvd. This 261-room oceanfront hotel has been renovated and will be reopened for visitors in early December. The upgraded areas include gym, pool deck, restaurant, hallways and rooms. The hotel has also upgraded its Wi-Fi network. The hotel’s exterior has also been repainted.
 
The Riverside Hotel is located at 620 E. Las Olas Blvd in Fort Lauderdale. This historic downtown hotel comprises of 220 rooms. All the public spaces and rooms have been renovated. The restrooms in the older rooms have been revamped and have got new furnishings. The hotel celebrated its 77th anniversary only this year. The renovated hotel is likely to open by mid-January.

Major hotels in Palm Beach County have also been renovated. These include The Breakers Palm Beach, Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa, and Boca Raton Resort & Club.
