Budget carrier Scoot announces new routes, offer cheap flights to Asia

Budget carrier Scoot, a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, recently announced the launch of new routes to Asia.
 
The airline in a statement said that it will be offering cheap flights to Asia following the launch of new routes from Australia.

The airline made its inaugural flight to Sydney on June 5, 2012. A water cannon salute welcomed the inaugural flight from Singapore.
The airline also stated that it would offer the Australian travelers cheap tickets to Tokyo in Japan and Taipei in Taiwan.

Scoot has also started operating daily flights from Sydney to Singapore. Apart from this, it is also operating five flights every week from the Gold Coast to Singapore.

Kerrie Mather, CEO of Sydney Airport, said that low-cost carriers have spurred the demand for travel. She said that 290,000 seats will be added every year.

Mather also said that the launch of flights services by Scoot will provide Australians greater access than ever to a wide network of international destinations. She said that the airline is offering a great service at great value.
