Caribbean Airlines implementing revised schedule from Jan 15

Trinidad and Tobago’s national carrier Caribbean Airlines has indicated that it will be implementing a revised scheduled following the increased travel demand. The new schedule will be effective from January 15 through February 4, 2015.

The airline will be launching a new nonstop flight between Trinidad and New York to be operated daily. The route will be served with the help of a wide-body aircraft, which will the first to be operated on the route. The flight has been well timed and is aimed at providing an end-of-business day flight.

A spokesperson of the airline said that the new daily flight on Trinidad-New York route is being increased to three daily nonstop flights in each direction. The airline is planning to increase the frequencies on the route with 48 flights per week. This will be more than triple than being currently operated than any other airline.

The airline has also made the flight on Georgetown-New York route to a daily nonstop service to be operated in both directions. The frequencies to Trinidad have been considerably improved with daily flights to/from Toronto, New York and Miami.

The spokesperson further said that Caribbean Airlines is presently the only carrier providing nonstop flights to London from Trinidad. Keeping in view the growing travel demand between the two destinations, the airline has decided to increase the frequencies to four weekly flights effective from February 4 this year.

The airline has also decided to terminate the twice weekly nonstop flights between the capital city of Georgetown and Canada’s key city Toronto from March 1. The service on the route will however be replaced with a daily roundtrip service.
