Carlson to launch Radisson Red, Quorvus Collection brands soon

Carlson Rezidor, a popular brand in the hospitality sector is all set to introduce two new brands in the market. Each of these hotel brands will debut in the next two years. However, both these brands will cater to different philosophies. While Radisson Red will aim at attracting the young and tech savvy, on the other hand, Quorvus Collection will focus on the ones seeking luxury.

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group is a famous name in the hospitality industry. Its headquarters are located in Minnetonka in Minnesota, U.S., and Brussels in Belgium. This group is the parent company of the popular Radisson hotels as well as Country Inns & Suites By Carlson. The company intends to launch about 60 Radisson Red and 20 Quorvus Collection Luxury Hotels by the end of the year 2010. The company officials at a business conference in Minneapolis made this announcement recently.

The Radisson Red brand is targeted at the next generation especially the ones born in the early 1980s. The group believes that the people belonging to this age group are equipped with a better purchasing power and it is rising with time. Other hospitality groups like Starwood and Marriott too are treading on a similar path. The guests here can skip the front desk check-in and instead check-in through a mobile app. While this trend is gaining popularity in the industry, this brand aspires to go beyond the obvious by allowing guests to order their food, drinks, flowers, and taxi using this app. This will help them manage the preferences of the guests in a systematic order.

Radisson Red is slated to debut in 2015 in the markets across Asia Pacific, Africa, Middle East, Europe, and Americas. Some of the first cities where the brand will debut include Minneapolis and Austin in Texas. On the other hand, details are yet awaited about the launch dates for the Quorvus Collection brand.
