Cathay Pacific Airways recently announced it will be increasing its frequencies to Boston from next year. Hong Kong’s flagship carrier said that its nonstop flights from Boston to Hong Kong would be operated daily starting from March 27, 2017. The airline is currently operating four flights per week between the two destinations.
The launch of the additional service comes barely two years after Cathay Pacific Airways launched its inaugural nonstop flights between Hong Kong and Boston, which for the first time offered direct connections between Hong Kong and New England. The flights on Boston-Hong Kong route are being currently operated on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays every week.
The Flight CX811 departs from Hong Kong at 1.45 am and arrives in Hong Kong at 5.35 am following day. The early morning arrival of the flight is beneficial for the customers as they find it convenient in connecting with every flight by Cathay Pacific Airways across Asia, including Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Singapore, and over 23 mainland China gateways, and that too without any Hong Kong layover.
The return Flight CX812 makes its departure from Hong Kong at 6.20 pm local time and arrives in Boston at 10.10 pm same day. This service is also proving to be beneficial for the passengers because the previous one-stop flight time to Hong Kong via Chicago or New York JFK is cut by over four hours.
The decision to launch additional flights to Boston from Hong Kong by Cathay Pacific Airways shows the airline’s commitment to boost connectivity between Asia and North America. Moreover, the additional flights have also demonstrated the growing importance of both Boston and Hong Kong as emerging markets for business and leisure travelers. The flights between the two destinations are being currently operated with the help of a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Cathay Pacific Airways is presently offering over 115 flights services per week to Hong Kong and beyond. The airline is connecting over 23 destinations in Mainland China with eight North American cities, which includes San Francisco, Newark Liberty, New York JFK, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Toronto and Vancouver.
