Cathay Pacific Airways free upgrades to premium economy throughout March

Cathay Pacific Airways recently announced that passengers traveling between Hong Kong and Sydney, New York and Toronto will be offered free upgrades to its new premium economy flights throughout March this year.

Cathay Pacific Airways in a statement said that premium economy seats will be offered as an upgrade to selected passengers, such as Marco Polo frequent flyer program members, throughout March 2012.

The bump-ups are aimed at providing Cathay Pacific Airways passengers an opportunity to sample the premium economy seats and service.

According to the airline, the premium economy seat is 19.3 inches wide with a 38 inch pitch (6 inches more than economy class), with a large meal table plus side cocktail table, 10.6-inch video screen and noise-canceling headphones.

The fortunate upgraded flyers will be seated in a separate and more spacious premium economy cabin sandwiched between business and economy.

The new premium economy tickets on Cathay Pacific Airways flights will be put on sale commencing April 1, 2012.
