Cathay Pacific Airways hastens premium economy seats installation on long-haul flights

Cathay Pacific Airways recently announced it has hastened the installation of premium economy class cabins on its long-haul flights.

The airline in a statement has confirmed that the introduction of its premium economy class cabin on its long-haul flights is progressing at a fast pace.

Cathay Pacific Airways had in March this year first launched the premium economy class on its flights to Sydney, Vancouver, Toronto and New York. However, ever since May and July this year the airline is operating premium economy flights to London and Johannesburg respectively.

The airline disclosed that its passengers will be able to book premium economy tickets to Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne for flights to be operated this August.

The airline is also planning to introduce premium economy cabins on its flights to Paris, San Francisco, Frankfurt and Los Angeles from September this year. The airline will also be introducing premium economy seats on Mumbai and Brisbane routes as well from October this year.

Cathay Pacific Airways indicated that by the end of 2012 it expects to have premium class cabins installed on 48 aircrafts, while this number is likely to increase to 87 by the end of 2013.
