Cathay Pacific Airways into codeshare agreement with Japan Airlines

Cathay Pacific Airways recently announced the expansion of its flight network in Japan. The airline has entered into codeshare agreement with Japan Airlines to cover several destinations in Japan.

With the new codeshare arrangement now Cathay Pacific Airways flights will be covering as much as 20 Japanese destinations offering the passengers with cheap flight deals as well as various travel options and convenience. The codeshare tie-up between the two airlines will prove beneficial to the passengers travelling between Hong Kong and Japan.

Cathay Pacific Airways in a statement said that the airline’s code ‘CX’ will now be prominently placed on selected domestic routes of Japan Airlines. The domestic routes include flights between Sapporo and Nagoya, and Narita Airport and Nagoya. Besides, the domestic route will also include flights to Nagasaki, Ube, Matsuyama, Misawa, Miyazaki, Izumo, Oita and Tokushima from Haneda Airport. The airline also said that cheap tickets for new codeshare flights are already available for sale and travelers can use them immediately.

Rupert Hogg, Director Sales and Marketing of Cathay Pacific Airways, said that the airline has for long been trying its best to provide its passengers more options for travel to Japan as it has been a quite popular destination for travelers from Hong Kong. “Cathay Pacific Airways’ codeshare agreement with Japan Airlines is a great step ahead to offer more domestic destinations in Japan to Hong Kong travelers,” Hogg said.
