Cathay Pacific Airways start selling new premium economy seats

Cathay Pacific Airways recently began selling its new premium economy seats on its long-haul routes.

The airline in a statement said that its new premium economy product is being progressively being rolled out on its long-haul fleet. The first four destinations selected by the airline to roll out its premium economy product included New York, Vancouver, Toronto and Sydney.

Cathay Pacific Airways is expected to unveil its premium economy product on Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide routes later in 2012.

Dane Cheng, Cathay Pacific Airway's General Manager for South West Pacific, said that it is important that continuous investment in new products and services should be made, even though these are particularly not so good times of the economy. This is the only way that is required to remain competitive and survive.

The new premium economy product of the airline will be featuring a dedicated cabin of between 26 and 34 seats. The premium economy seats of Cathay Pacific Airways have a pitch of 38 inches, as well as other on-board and on-the-ground facilities.
