Cathay Pacific Airways recently launched new flights between Hong Kong and Vancouver effective from March 28, 2017. The airline is serving the route with its newly acquired Airbus A350-900 aircraft, which is the first of its kind. The flights between the two destinations will be served thrice weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The business class customers are being promised a luxurious flying experience when traveling across the Pacific for business or leisure. Media reports said that the Studio F.A. Porsche seats have been installed in the new business class cabins on Airbus A350-900 aircraft. Moreover, the premium customers are being offered more legroom space along with convertible 75 inch long fully lie flat beds. Whenever the customers want to be seated on the chair, they would be able to enjoy comfortable seating experience with a 20.2 inch seat width and 45 inch seat pitch.
A spokesperson of Cathay Pacific Airways said that the customers will be offered various amenities on the new aircraft. The prominent among them being the “Wake Up Call” and “Do Not Disturb” features allowing complete privacy to customers while relaxing. The seating area will also be equipped with additional storage compartments, which include a side-cabinet with noise-cancelling headphones.
The business class travellers will also be provided an amenity kit so that they may feel refreshed and relaxed during the course of their flights. The amenity kit will comprise of slippers, grooming tools, blanket and a sleeping mask. Complimentary gourmet meal is also offered to the premium customers within an hour of take-off in order that the rest of the flight duration is utilized for preparing for meetings or relaxation.
The new Airbus A350-900 aircraft is also equipped with state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment system with an 18.5 inch HD touchscreen offering a host of entertainment options, including a new interactive 3D map, e-reader along with an impressive list of digital magazines, and on-demand films. Apart from these, unlimited Wi-Fi access is also available for purchase.
