China Airlines reveals A350 seat design ahead of delivery

Taiwan’s national carrier China Airlines recently revealed the designs of its various cabins on the Airbus A350 aircraft, which is scheduled to be delivered to the airline in July 2016. The aircraft is configured in three classes – Premium Business, Premium Economy and Economy Class.

The customers booking business class tickets would be offered 32 seats in Premium Business cabin. Those traveling in Premium Economy would be offered 31 seats. The Economy Class cabin will have a seating capacity of 243 passengers, of which 12 would be offered as Family Couch seats. The seats on Airbus A350 aircraft would however be similar to those currently offered on the airline’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

The airline while providing the details of Premium Business cabin on Airbus A350 aircraft said that the seats have been manufactured by B/E Aerospace and would be the Super Diamond product similar to those found on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The business class cabin would be in 1-2-1 layout. The premium customers would be offered 18-inch screen for in-flight entertainment as well as a personal table lamp.

The cabin designs of Premium Economy and Economy Class were also revealed by the airline. The premium economy seats would be the same Zodiac AlRgo FX premium seats currently installed on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The premium economy seats in A350 would be in a 2-3-2 layout, while it is in a 2-4-2 layout on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

The seats in Economy Class would be in a 3-3-3 layout. The seats are quite comfortable with a seat width of 18 inches. The seat pitch will be of 32 inch, and each seat would be offering 116 degrees of recline. Moreover, China Airlines has also decided to introduce the Sky Lounge concept on Airbus A350 aircraft on the same lines as those found on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. This will though be offered under a new branding “Sky Bistro”.
